Velcro strap too small

My six-year-old son loves the look of these shoes, but the velcro strap is just too small. It doesn't stretch over my son's foot, so his shoes often fly off when he kicks a soccer ball or runs fast. They're also not very durable and sprouted holes after just a few weeks.
