Does the NRC App Have Training Plans?
Yes, the Nike Run Club App features training plans created by our expert NRC coaches for all levels of runners, so you don’t need to know the difference between a fartlek and a tempo run to become a better runner, have fun, and accomplish your goals.
Our coaches create detailed plans that explain the goal for each training week and the purpose of every run to educate you on your journey. Every run also offers an Audio Guided Run, so you can have an NRC coach motivate and inspire you along the way!

Go Beyond
Running isn’t just about pace and distance, it’s an expression of your movement and joy. This four-week plan features three audio guided runs that will focus on you. Whether you play with faster paces or prefer relaxing runs, these plans have what you need.
5k Training Plan
The 5k is about pushing to the max! Our eight-week training plan is focused on getting all levels of runners to the starting line primed for a breakthrough performance. Each week has a mix of speed, long, and recovery runs tailored toward crushing your best.
10k Training Plan
A 10k combines fast running and endurance. Our eight-week plan prepares you to be confident on race day. In addition to expertly curated speed, long, and recovery runs sequenced to help you reach your goals, there are optional NTC workouts included to boost your strength.
Half Marathon Training Plan
Whether you’re tackling your first half marathon or looking for a personal best, this 14-week plan will prepare you with up to five runs each week consisting of easy, long, and speed runs specific to achieving your best at the half marathon distance.
Marathon Training Plan
The marathon captures runners' imagination and inspires dread. You don’t need to be intimidated—or go it alone. Our 18-week plan mixes the long, speed, and recovery runs focused on getting to the starting line confident and prepared for the run of your life!

How do I start a training plan in the NRC App?
In the NRC App, tap "Plans" and select your desired plan. Then tap "Start Plan." It’s that easy.
Can I start a training plan on my Apple Watch?
NRC training plans can only be started in the NRC App. Tap the "Plan" icon to view available plans. Once you start a plan, you can start your individual runs on your Apple Watch.
How do I start a training run?
You can start a run on your Apple Watch or phone:
- Phone: Tap the "Plan" icon and tap on the run.
- Apple Watch: Swipe right from the start screen until you see your plan and tap on the run.
