Hey, my name is Salome. I’m from Tbilisi, Georgia. DJ and producer. I experience producing and djing as two different expressions of myself. It’s almost two alter egos. When djing, I’m bringing out my bold and strong powerful presence,

but when I’m producing, it gives me the space to be vulnerable and sensitive. And it’s really beautiful to have the opportunity to share those two sides of mine through productions and through dj sets. 

The intent behind the initiative of Room 72 is to have the space where creativity and movement collide.

I think the sound piece has become the most personal piece I have ever created before, because that was the piece where both my personalities came together. And that’s the piece where strength doesn’t cancel softness: it just grows from it. 

I have this moment in the sound piece which I consider to be the most important and pivotal moment: the drums are introduced which carry very bold energy and also simultaneously, the melodic scene comes in. And that completes the balance between power and vulnerability. 

I think the best moment, the best part of it I would say, was the creative process of the sound piece. Because I produced this piece at my home, in Georgia, in Tbilisi, I was in an environment of familiarity, memories, and space of nostalgia. 

To be a visionary is to fully trust your intuition, initiate without compromise. To sum it up, I would say my vision behind it is to create experiences and create music that shows both the powerful presence and emotional honesty.
