After years of motion, the Air Max 95 was reborn for a new, turn-of- the-millenium consumer. What began as anatomy evolved seamlessly into architecture.

And by the early 2000s form followed function in a single gesture: The ZIP. 

The first Air Max 95 ZIP Pack arrived in February 2002 — a bold, experimental and divisive shoe. A coated shroud covered the laces, giving the silhouette a more minimal, uninterrupted aesthetic. Two decades later, the ZIP returned. 

The ZIP system blurred the line between protection and design. A fastener became a signature—part shield, part statement. From archive to streetlight, the experiment continues.
