NOW IS HER MOMENT
This summer is more than just an opportunity for Crystal Dunn: It's a chance to prove herself at the highest level of football. In 2015, following a record year with her club, the winger was the last player cut from Team USA before they went on to claim the world title.
But she never gave up, spending the last four years preparing for her next shot. This summer in France, she'll take to the pitch in the 'Goddess of Victory' Phantom Vision.
Her moment is here.
FROM CLUB TO COUNTRY
As Dunn pulls double duty for both club and country, the Phantom Vision is "a perfect boot to be doing everything", she says. "On [North Carolina] Courage, I've been playing the 10 and I need to be creative, crafty", she says. "But on the national team, I'm in the back line, so I have to be scrappy and kind of get stuck into these tackles".
MIND ON THE GAME
In the heat of a match, Dunn loves the gripped texture of the Phantom Vision keeping the ball close at her feet. Otherwise, she says, "You're spending time in the game thinking about your touch, when you should be feeling free, and being creative on the pitch". Watch for that creativity this summer as Dunn gets her opportunity to shine.
