Let's go!  ## Act first | Inclusion Take the initiative. Prioritise safe spaces for trans and non-binary youth, even if there are no active requests. When you normalise the needs of LGBTQIA+ athletes, it creates a welcoming environment for them to participate.  ## Set the tone | Advocacy A coach's attitude and behaviours are often mirrored by their players. Championing respectful practices and being intentional about your language can set the tone for your team and show them what a great ally looks like.  ## Stay informed | Awareness Creating a safe environment that is respectful of a full spectrum of identities and pronouns starts with being an informed ally. Stay on top of your game with regular LGBTQIA+ education for both you and your team.  ## Hold space | Integrity and confidentiality It is always their story to tell. Unless they ask for help, assure trans and non-binary athletes that you will not share any information about their identity.  ## Listen to learn | Empathy Your initial reaction to the experiences of LGBTQIA+ players is everything.
