Create Your Own Lane With Style

British female sprinter, Daryll Neita, might be best known for being one of the world’s best athletes – but, for her, life off the track is just as important. When she’s not repping Great Britain in her own team kit, she’s expressing her own sense of style – collecting sneakers and taking influence from her city. Not only is London Daryll’s home, but an open canvas – acting as an ever-changing backdrop of colour, life and ideas that inspire her every day.
Read how threads are her freedom for self-expression below.

What Style Means To Me
“I want to show people that I'm more than just an athlete – I’ve got personality, style and another side to me outside of my work as well. Like, ‘Yeah, that's the uniform I wear, but then there’s this side to me too.’”

Dress From The Inside Out
“I feel like two people can make the exact same outfit look completely different. It’s about how you wear what you wear, and how it falls on you. So, for me, style is all about the personality behind the clothing. Don't look at what everybody else is doing – just be comfortable within yourself, and do what you want. So long as you feel comfortable, you’re doing it right. Trust me.”

A Love-Letter To London
“The vibe and pace of London is so energetic that it can’t not influence your style if you live here. There’s a constant need to look your best, to be ready, to have an eye for detail – and above all, to feel comfortable in what you’re wearing while you’re at it. I like to go shopping in Central and Chelsea – and if I’m looking for inspo, I’ll head to the record shops and vintage stores in East. I feel like the style there’s just like no other... Even just from people watching, I’ll get a million new ideas for how to switch up an outfit.”

All About The Kicks
“I’m a big fan of wearing understated outfits, and making things pop with a fresh pair of sneakers. I usually go for white ones in the summer, black ones in the winter, and colorful ones here and there... I’ll wear retro hi-top Jordans if I’m travelling, and Blazers for everything else. Blazers are just the one, aren’t they? They sit neatly under a pair of jeans, and that silhouette is always completely timeless.”
