The Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX is your running companion for those days when the weather turns. Its waterproof GORE-TEX layer helps keep your feet dry, and less rubber in the outsole creates a smooth transition from road to trail without breaking stride.

I writer here to specify one little thing(i'm the owner of a Pegasus Trail gtx 4,satified):goretex Is water resistent ,not waterproof. Are two differente things. Maybe Nike should clarify this point (not known by anybody)in the description of shoes.

Let me start by saying I completely disagree with the comments left for these running trainers about product quality and the should simply be removed, they are waterproof. Secondly, these are my third pair of pegasus, Nike is always up and over standard when it comes to innovation and the re-design of their trainers. As for quality of the pegasus, without a doubt, the best there is on the market. I will continue to purchase these trainers time after time again. Let me explain; I am military, this is my fourth pair in three full years, starting my third year with my recent purchase. I run 5x per week, Monday to Friday, 8am start every day, 10km MINIMUM (rest days) and 30km maximum on other. We run in sports gear with and without weighted backpacks 10kg (Yes soldiers don't just run in uniform and boots). These trainers have passed all tests with FLYING COULEURS, through different terrains and weather, dry dirt, mud, dust, dry sand, wet sand, through streams, rocks, stones, mountains, grass, snow, ice, uneven terrain and road. There is little to no difference in the transfer of rythme and speed from one terrain to the other and my feet have always been dry. Most of all, the shock impact on my ankles, knees and hips after so many kilometers is next to nothing. I have used these trainers in the south of france (the alpes -8° through snow and over ice), Northern France (wet weather), Northern ireland (mud, rain and very wet roads and tracks), United Arab Emirates (45°+ sticky roads and dry sand dunes), Iraq (45°+ stocky roads and dust), French Guyana (30°+ 98% humidity, sticky roads and over tracks in the Amazonian jungle under, for 90% of the population, unseen torrential rain storms). They have NEVER let me down. Take care of your nikes and they take care of your feet. Goretex needs treated every 6 months or so depending on how much you actually get them wet and to what extent. A simple sponge over with Nick's wax or similar is sufficient to restore original protection. Thank you nike for yet another wonderful trainer! For anyone reading my comment and gets this far, thank you for taking the time. I hope I helped you in your choice. Take it easy, watch your 6. Over and out!

I wish the Trail 4 model came in ALL black… Every other model before has had an ALL black version. Other than that, these are my favorite sneakers. Comfortable, light, and waterproof. I HATE having a soaking wet shoe and these do the trick.
