Designed with sustainability in mind, the Nike Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit is made from at least 50% recycled content by weight. That's a lot of trash! As part of Nike's journey towards lowering our impact, we're discovering new ways to put our waste to good use. By utilising leftover materials, recycled polyester, recycled foam and a Nike Air-Sole made from at least 75% recycled TPU, the VaporMax 2020 Flyknit marks the next step towards our ultimate goal of zero carbon and zero waste.
This product was responsibly designed utilising recycled materials from post-consumer and/or post-manufactured waste. One of our biggest steps on our journey to zero carbon and zero waste is in choosing our materials because they account for more than 70% of any product's footprint. By reusing existing plastics, yarns and textiles, we significantly reduce our emissions. Our goal is to use as many recycled materials as possible without compromising on performance, durability and style.

Skeptical about the "Release"

I was skeptical about the release of the shoe because the shoe looked like the self-lacing system was "for show" for the first few months, but I was proven wrong? I pose an interrogative statement because I've had these shoes for a day and a half, and I almost returned the shoes because I thought the "release" system was broken. It wasn't until I wore the shoe that it worked! And very well. It is true what people say, the longer you walk, the looser it can become. However, I have big feet, so these shoes aren't coming off that easy. We will see how long these last. The laces appear irreplaceable, so it someone or something cuts it... you're kinda out of luck. Now I'm skeptical about the next "Release."
