My name is Rohan Mirza and I am the founder and designer of the brand Rohan Mirza Studio (@marierohanaa). It’s a brand originating from Paris, specifically from the 93rd department.

Our studio’s identity and influences stem mainly from the digital world, the internet, video games and social media. All the influences we grew up with, that our generation grew up with. I often say that this brand is more of a creative studio because we don’t limit ourselves to clothing.

We love creating events; we love exploring ideas beyond clothing. And clothing is the foundation that ties everything together for us, but not necessarily an end in itself.

I also see this project as a sort of collective because we’ve been working with the same people for years, and they are the very foundation of the project. For example, Lolox manages the whole VFX side of things, which is the brand’s identity but also handles the artistic direction.

We have Sarah Bouyssou, who does all the set design and creates the worlds in which our characters live. We love telling stories, so the collection/drop format suits us perfectly. We’re hugely influenced by fictional characters, cartoon characters and video game characters that aren’t human.

And our aim is to bring all those references, all that culture, into the real world.Whether through 3D printing or prosthetics, this allows us to augment our bodies and see our looks a bit like fictional characters.

In keeping with the collective’s ethos, what we really love is creating events, bringing people together, bringing our community together. Seeing it coexist and even create worlds into which we invite people to come and spend an evening.

And that’s where the idea for SW@MP! came from, the event we’re creating with NikeIt’s a whole universe we’ve built and imagined, where we invite people to come and share a moment with us, disconnected from reality. See you on 25 March to share this moment together.
