They can be a bit of a struggle to pull on, but once they’re locked in, they disappear on your feet in the best way. Lightweight, snug, and extremely comfortable right from the first session with zero break-in time needed. The materials are all soft and rugged where they need to be for comfort and durability, so they feel like premium cleats all around. A small bonus that adds to the premium feel: they come with a matching drawstring gym sack that mirrors the cleat’s colorway. On the filed as a midfielder, I really appreciate how these cleats balance comfort with control. The hidden lace system under the knit tongue area creates a cleaner look, improves touch and juggling, and keeps the strike zone smooth. The trade-off is that adjusting the laces takes a little extra effort, having to reach underneath and tucking them back in. However, it’s a minor thing for the performance and sleek design. Where I think these cleats truly shine is on traction and stability. The soleplate offers really great grip on firm ground. I had zero issues during my games to cut, pivot, and accelerate in tight spaces without slipping. The pattern feels responsive and very stable stable, and the overall lightweight build of them makes quick transitions and bursts feel effortless. If I could tweak one thing, it would be to add a bit more flexibility in the heel to make getting in and out easier. Otherwise, these Phantoms delivered top-tier comfort, control, and traction for me and the colorways is fire. I would highly recommend these for players who want a secure, lightweight and comfortable fit with a clean/grippier striking surface.
