The inner sleeve of this shoe provides a compressive fit and added stability for lateral movement. The wider, curved base also can minimize rolled ankles. Insole is cushioned, shoe is on the heavier side, but for this player the pros outweigh the cons.

Super cushy, comfortable, and stable. Durable so far, well made, and did not need a break in period. Runs bigger and wider than expected. Sized down 1/2 size and it’s still a bit bigger than usual, altho it easily fits an ankle brace. May try a full size down for my next pair. Switched from the court flares 2 (a completely opposite shoe) and never looking back.
