Very good shoe

The Nike Vomero 16 was an addition to my running and everyday shoe rotation. From the moment I took the shoes out of the box, I could tell from the overall looks that I would enjoy these shoes. Stepping into the shoe, I was immediately met with a feeling similar to the Nike Pegasus. I could feel the air cushioning in the forefoot, but the step-in feel wasn't as firm as the Pegasus. Instead, I noticed a soft, but not too soft, feeling from the ZoomX foam. The combination of these two features is enough alone to enjoy the shoe. Other than the most significant step in features, the shoe's overall design is excellent! Being familiar with ZoomX in my other running shoes, I enjoyed the stability that allowed this shoe to be an everyday shoe for me. The band inside the shoe provided much of a stable feeling but was never too noticeable. One feature I loved was the pinkish color that Nike calls Atmosphere/Light Madder Root/Light Bone/Sail. The color and comfort of these shoes led me to make these running shoes and everyday shoes. Overall, I loved the design of the shoe. I have always been on the fence about owning a pair of Vomero's in the past, but with the recent addition of ZoomX, while keeping and improving upon a lot of the features that have made this shoe popular with runners, I was ready to leap. If there was one thing I was unsure of for the first couple of times wearing the shoe was the upper of the heel. At first, while it looked plush, it was pretty stiff. However, by the fourth time wearing the shoes, this part of the shoe had nicely broken in and has been very comfortable since.

I bought these for running. They are true to size and look great as a general casual shoe too. They are not as 'bouncy' whilst running as I had hoped, feeling very slightly clunky compared to my previous running shoes. I think they're more of an all-rounder, perhaps a cross training shoe. But they look lovely, and are very comfortable and have a nice wide toe-box. All in all I'm very happy for the 7-10 mile runs I do, especially as they came in at under £100. But if I were doing a marathon I would probably buy something a bit lighter and springier at the front (which would probably be a lot more expensive!). Good for the money.
