I have worn the TK back to the 3 and for me, this is the best update yet. I took these to Switzerland and did three very challenging hikes/downhill trail running (totals up to 15 miles), with significant elevation gain in varied terrain (forest and above the tree line, rocks, roots, scrambles, ladders, safety ropes and cables, etc.). These were amazing - super comfortable out of the box with great cushion and great grip. Worn with thinner Defeet and Darn Tough merino wool socks - no blisters nor hot spots. My feet felt very well taken care of after each outing and I'm looking forward to more hikes and trail runs with them. These also packed down very nicely in a compression bag in the bottom of my carry-on backpack for travel. So good I bought another pair on the way home!

The 8 has noticeably less cushion than the 7's (I own a few 7's). Even when compared to 7's which have 500 miles on them. The size is ever so slightly longer which changes the fit. Subtle changes that are probably due to manufacturing but enough that I will not buy another pair of the 8's.

My foot is a 9.5. I was purchasing the Pegasus Trail 3 and 4 in a 10.5, so I figured these would be good in a 10.5. The 10.5 was way to long, but my pinky toes hit the side of the 10. The rest of the shoe in a 10 fit the same as in the 10.5. I do wish all the trail shoes had Vibram soles. I never did get a Nike that fit all that well, so I don' t know what to do as far as shoes go.
