Nike x Olivia Kim Collection

The 1990s has always been an influential and foundational decade for Nike. From the opening of Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon to the opening of the first Niketown destination. Bringing together nostalgia and personal style, Nike is partnering with native New Yorker, Olivia Kim, on the Nike by Olivia Kim collection, a capsule of apparel, footwear and accessories that evoke the fun, playful side of New York City in the 90s. Inspired by Olivia’s childhood love of Nike and the vibrant, creative culture during her formative years growing up in Downtown Manhattan, the collection features head to toe looks with 16 apparel and accessory pieces and 5 footwear canvases, including the Air Force 1, Air Jordan IV, Air Mowabb and Air Footscape.

Nike and Olivia honed in on apparel and accessory pieces reminiscent of her own teenage wardrobe paired with statement footwear designs that reimagine Nike icons of the era. The collection features vibrant pink, volt, blue, orange and red colors. Fleece hoodies and graphic tees feature glitter mini swoosh, accessorized with a wristband and fanny pack. Beyond these 90s style cues, Olivia also drew inspiration from designs she saw on flyers, driving home the joyful energy of the collection.
The Nike by Olivia Kim creative campaign features Olivia, athlete Megan Rapinoe, model Binx Walton and director-writer John Waters who respectively embody the style and cultural personalities that influenced Olivia during this decade –unapologetic, playful individualism.
