"The Better Generation is a movement. It's the type of person that thinks differently, acts differently, does their own thing. They make sure that they are true to themselves. As far as what type of family we're trying to build, these are people that we want to represent."

"In the city of Houston, we're here to serve the Houston community, day in, day out, no matter who walks in the door. In the sneaker community, that's something
that's refreshing, genuinely. I think that right now it's almost like a gated community in a way."

"We got a half-court basketball court, we have crazy yard space just to do whatever we want. It's not like going to the mall and going to the store to get some shoes, it’s like an experience where people can come out and get some food, have a drink."

"You spend an hour and a half at the store and it's like, I shopped for a little bit, hung out with some friends outside, shot some hoops. It's just a vibe. People can connect with each other. The community started out from just being online."

"People wanted to support what we had going on, so that's how genuine the community is. People want to be heard. People are learning about what they like, what they don't like, and we just want to be that shop that has the information for them."

"Being an open book, we're allowing these people to grow with us. Giving people the opportunity to create their own style, right? How they envision themselves. This is for those kids that just want something cool for the weekend."

"And then we go into the shoe room. We picked just white to make sure that you were able to see all these beautiful designs on a blank canvas. The thing that separated us was the transparency. You know, like..."

"We told people, how many pairs we got because that was what was lacking. We made sure to represent what people wanted because for so many years kids never really had an opportunity. We were the store that made sure to indicate we're for the community."

"You are us, you are our family. We're going to treat you just like how we treat our mom. I don't think it should ever be like a standoffish environment. Sometimes what this industry can like represent, which starts to make people not want to be in it."

"From an overall energy, I think positivity. We want to be able to teach, inform and be able to allow these people to share the enjoyment that we have for this product and this environment and this culture and then grow it."
