Solebox first opened its doors in 2002, initially in Prenzlauer Berg. The whole interior back then, was completely built out of cardboard boxes. 

On these boxes we presented the shoes and that's actually how we got our name SOLEBOX. That set-up gave the store a pretty unique and innovative look for the early 2000's. So you can say

that providing somehow of a unique experience has been part of our DNA from Day 1. Only when we moved to the famous Nürnberger Straße in Charlottenburg we felt like having found the perfect match and this space has been our home-turf,

where we are currently also re-building our community Hub right next door. Berlin is constantly growing and evolving and just like our hometown, so are we. When we opened the first store, sneaker boutiques were kind of niche

so the sneaker game was just getting started and almost 20 years later it has become this huge global phenomenon. We as Solebox want to make sure we educate the younger generation of sneaker heads on the existing culture, 

while making sure to keep the joy and authenticity alive that is so important, especially for the OG's in the game. Bringing these two generations together is something very close to our heart. 

Based on our heritage and our mission we feel like we stand out through the design of our retail spaces and the physical activations that we bring to life for and with our community

At solebox we are all driven by one and the same passion for sneaker culture even though we all come from different backgrounds. To work with such an amazing group of like-minded, yet diverse people every day is the biggest energy giver you can wish for.

In the future we want to take that same energy and bring it to other cities in Europe as well. We actually found the first location with the right vibe and will be opening a new and exciting space in Barcelona soon.

We are generally looking at the future very optimistically. What the past months showed us, is the importance and power of social interaction and that has validated what we always stood for: Empowering and enabling our community and basically just doing the right thing.
