2013 SLS Nike SB World Tour
Nike SB is proud to annouce a multi-year partnership with Street League Skateboarding (SLS), which will help elevate professional skateboarding worldwide through the SLS Nike SB World Tour. Nike SB will help raise the bar for each North American arena stop of the tour, including Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO on June 9th, Rose Garden Arena in Portland, OR on July 14th and the SLS Super Crown World Championship at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on August 25th.
This series features twenty of the world's most repected professional skaters, including Nike SB pros Paul Rodriguez, Sean Malto, Ishod Wair, Luna Oliveira, and Shane O'Neill, as well as Eric Koston who will be taking part in several key events.
The SLS Nike SB World Tour features a standard format and championship qualification point system across a seven-stop series, including international events in Brazil, Spain, and Germany. The skaters will be competing for the largest cash prize purse in professional skateboarding history, with the winner of each stop of the world tour receiving a first-place prize of $100,000. Each stop's winner will also earn a golden ticket to the SLS Super Crown World Championship, where the first-place prize check doubles to $200,000. Each stop of the 2013 SLS Nike SB World tour will be televised live on ESPN/ESPN2.
