REGISTRATION

APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications for participation in the Nike Women’s Half Marathon DC will be accepted between 12PM ET on November 5, 2013 and 6PM ET on November 22, 2013.

WHO MAY APPLY?
Anyone who is eighteen (18) or older as of April 27, 2014 and a registered member of NIKE+ may apply for the Nike Women’s Half Marathon DC Random Draw. If you are not currently a member of NIKE+, you may register by visiting nikeplus.nike.com/plus. Registration is free. Anyone under the age of eighteen at the time of registration must have a parent or guardian sign for them.

HOW DO I APPLY?
Visit facebook.com/runnikewomenseries between 12PM ET on November 5, 2013 and 6PM ET on November 22, 2013 for a link to the 2014 Nike Women’s Half Marathon DC Registration application. Complete the application form between 12PM ET on November 5, 2013 and 6PM ET on November 22, 2013. As part of the application process, you will be required to provide a credit card number and accept the specified fees.  Limit one entry per person regardless of method of entry. Only one entry may be completed per email address and NIKE+ profile. Multiple entries submitted by a single entrant or with the same email address are void and may be grounds for complete removal from the Nike Women’s Half Marathon DC race. Please note that your credit card will not be charged unless you are selected to participate in the race.

HOW ARE RUNNERS SELECTED?
On or before December 6, 2013, NIKE USA, Inc. will randomly select applicants to run in the Half Marathon. If your name is selected, we will attempt to process your payment. Only randomly selected runners whose payments are successful will be offered a place in the race. Once credit card payment has been verified, all participants will be notified via email as to whether they’ve been accepted or declined for a place in the race.

HOW WILL I FIND OUT IF I AM SELECTED?
Participants who are selected to participate will be notified via email by December 6, 2013.

PLEASE NOTE: There are many ways that emails may not be received as intended. We suggest that you follow the steps below to ensure that you receive emails from Nike and NWHM DC.

SPAM:
To ensure our emails do not end up in your spam folder, please add nike@official.nike.com and runnikewomen@obexp.com to your safe sender email list to receive registration announcements and information about the Nike Women’s Half Marathon DC. Additionally, you can follow us at facebook.com/runnikewomenseries.

NIKE UNSUBSCRIBE
If at any time you opted-out or unsubscribed from receiving future email messages from Nike, then you will not be sent an email notifying you that registration is open, even if you have participated in past Nike Women’s Half Marathon events.

WHY ARE YOU UTILIZING A RANDOM DRAWING?
The Nike Women’s Half Marathon DC has become a sellout event. Due to the high demand for registration, we believe a Random Draw format makes registration fair for all interested participants.

HOW CAN I VERIFY THAT I AM OFFICIALLY REGISTERED FOR THE RACE?

Once Random Draw results have been sent please visit facebook.com/runnikewomenseries to see results of the random draw selection. If you cannot find your name, make sure you have entered your information correctly in the query fields. If you still cannot find the registration, please email runnikewomen@obexp.com or call us at 1-866-RUN-NIKE.

WILL I RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION OF MY APPLICATION IN THE RANDOM DRAWING?

You will also see a screen at the end of the application process confirming your successful entry. You will also receive an email confirming your application into the Random Draw. Results of the Random Draw will be released by December 6, 2013 via email.

CAN I REGISTER AS PART OF A GROUP?
There are two ways to apply for the 2014 Nike Women’s Half Marathon DC Random Draw: as a group or an individual. If you are interested in entering as a group, you must create a Group Name prior to applying for the Random Drawing. The only reason to enter as a group is to ensure you run with your friends. Entering as a group does not increase your chances of being selected. If you decide to enter as a group, here’s how to do it:

STEP 1. Designate ONE person in your group to be the Group Captain.

STEP 2. The Group Captain will click on the Random Draw link posted on Facebook at facebook.com/runnikewomenseries, or received in an email. She will provide her Nike+ account information and be directed to the landing page, where she will select “Group Registration.”

STEP 3. Once Group Registration is selected, the Group Captain will click “Create A Group.” At this point, the Group Captain will create a Group Name and Password.

STEP 4. After the Group Captain completes her registration process, she will receive an email confirming creation of her group. She will forward this email to each member of her Group.

STEP 5. During the Random Draw process, every member of the group is responsible for entering the Group Name and Password in order to be considered a part of the Group. Each member will do so by selecting “Group Registration” on the registration page.

HOW CAN I VERIFY THE STATUS OF MY RANDOM DRAW ENTRY?
To confirm your submission was successfully entered in the Random Draw, click on the link below. Information found through the link only verifies that your Random Draw entry was received. Results for the Random Draw will be announced via email on or before December 6, 2013.

https://register.racepartner.com/nwhmdc/entrants

WHAT IF I ALREADY REGISTERED THROUGH THE RANDOM DRAWING AND DIDN’T REGISTER AS A GROUP BEFORE DOING SO, CAN I CHANGE MY REGISTRATION TO DO SO?
With the large number of registrations we receive through the Random Draw open period, we are unable to adjust individual registration information and change/add group members or add a Group name and password to an already completed registration.

CAN MEN PARTICIPATE?
The Nike Women’s Half Marathon DC is open to both male & female participants.

WHAT IS THE FEE TO RACE IN THE NWM?
The fee to participate as an individual or part of a group in the 2014 Nike Women’s Half Marathon DC is $175. The college registration fee is $150 (for a limited time).

WHY DO I NEED TO LOGIN WITH A NIKE+ PROFILE TO REGISTER?

We are excited to offer a physical race experience that will be integrated with Nike+ and will connect all Nike Women’s Half Marathon DC runners with the world’s largest online running community.
