Simon turned professional in 1999 after a runner-up finish in the English Amateur and a win at the Finnish Amateur. He dominated the Asian Tour in 2000, winning three times and being named Rookie of the Year. Since 2001 Simon has played mostly on the European Tour, and has six wins to his name -- including two wins in 2011 -- and was ranked in the top 30 in the world golf rankings. In 2012, Simon finished top-25 in an impressive 10 European Tour events.
