Following a successful collegiate career at the University of South Carolina at Aiken, Scott played on the eGolf Tour from 2006-09. He collected five wins during that stretch and was named the Tour's 2009 Player of the Year after leading the eGolf money list. Scott had three top-10 finishes on the Nationwide Tour in 2010, and in 2011 he recorded five top-10 finishes. As a rookie on the PGA Tour in 2012, Scott recorded four top-25 finishes, including twice finishing in the top-5.
