At Arizona State University, Paul became the first player to win three consecutive Pac-10 Championships. As a member of the European Tour, he finished sixth in the 2004 Masters and joined the PGA Tour shortly thereafter. Paul has one win on the PGA Tour and 11 on the European Tour, which is tied for 21st all-time. He rose as high as third on the World Golf Rankings in 2009 and in 2010 had six top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a T-3 finish at the British Open. In 2011, Paul won the inaugural Volvo Golf Champions, while in 2012 he had three top-10 finishes. Getting off to a good start to the 2013 season, Paul collected two top-25 finishes in his first three events, then went on to win the Irish Open for his 12th career European Tour title.
