As winner of the 2003, 2004 and 2005 Faldo Series development program for young golfers, Oliver was regarded as one of the best players of his generation. In 2005 he became the youngest man to play in the Walker Cup, and with a fifth-place finish at the European Tour's qualifying school, became the youngest Briton to win a tour card. Fisher won his first European Tour event, the Czech Open, in 2011, while in 2012 he collected five top-25 finishes.
