Every year the synthetic textile industry consumes enough water to fill 3.7 million Olympic-sized pools. What if it didn’t? What if you could dye fabric without a drop of water? What if you could actually use waste from other industries to help dye fabric? What if you could engineer a performance product built for champion athletes... and still not use a drop of water?
In our pursuit to engineer product for superior performance and lower environmental impact, we’ve invested in an innovative dyeing process that doesn’t require a drop of water. Instead it uses CO2, an inert and non-toxic gas, that is available as waste from other industries.
The Kenyan Federation Marathon Jersey worn by World Champion Abel Kirui, is the first performance product dyed using this process. It’s also made of recycled polyester, the equivalent of 3 plastic bottles, proof that performance and sustainability do make good bedfellows.
