REGISTRATION
WHEN WILL REGISTRATION OPEN?

Registration for the Nike Women Half Marathon D.C. will be held through a random drawing process. You may apply at any time during the registration period; registering early does not improve your chance of being selected.

Random Drawing registration period:
Friday, November 16th through Thursday, December 6th at 6PM ET.

HOW DO I APPLY?

Complete an application for the random drawing between November 16th and December 6th at 6PM ET. CAN I REGISTER AS PART OF A GROUP?

Yes, if you are interested in registering as a group, you can obtain a Group ID prior to registering in the random drawing. The ONLY reason to register as part of a group is if you and your friends only want to run the race if you are all together. During the random drawing selections, the group is either accepted as a whole or not at all. Registering as a group does not increase your chances of being selected and having a larger group also does not increase your odds of being selected. If you would like to register as a group there are FOUR easy steps:

STEP 1. Designate ONE person in your group to be the group leader.
STEP 2. Prior to registering in the Random Drawing, the group leader must obtain a Group ID by completing the Group ID application form here.
STEP 3. Once the Group ID has been obtained, the group leader MUST copy, paste and send the Group ID to everyone in the group. All group members need to copy and paste the Group ID into their individual random drawing registrations to reduce the chances of typos.
STEP 4 Once the Random Drawing opens, every member of the group needs to input the Group ID in the appropriate box on her own random drawing application. Your Group ID must be entered correctly to be considered. If your group is selected and you mistyped your Group ID during registration, you will not be included in that group. Each participant must enter with her own email/Nike+ profile to be accepted. Groups do not register under one email address.

WHAT IF I ALREADY REGISTERED THROUGH THE RANDOM DRAWING AND DIDN'T REGISTER AS A GROUP BEFORE DOING SO, CAN I CHANGE MY REGISTRATION TO DO SO?

With the large number of registration we receive through the random drawing open period, we are unable to adjust individual registration information and change/add group members or add a Group ID to an already completed registration.

DO I HAVE THE OPTION TO REGISTER AS PART OF A GROUP OR AS AN INDIVIDUAL IN THE RANDOM DRAWING?

Yes, runners have the opportunity to enter as either an individual or as part of a group using a group ID, but cannot enter as both. Duplicate entries (either as a group and individual or in multiple groups) are VOID and will be grounds for complete removal from the Random Drawing. Additionally, runners participating in the College Student Registration Program may not enter as part of a group or both entries will be made VOID and may be grounds for complete removal from the Nike Women Half Marathon D.C. race.

HOW CAN I VERIFY THAT I AM OFFICIALLY REGISTERED FOR THE RACE?
