Shoreditch confirmed its status as London’s creative centre on August 14 when an unassuming warehouse opened its doors to reveal the all-time definitive collection of Nike Sportswear.
Called 1948, the new space splices endangered-list kicks and gear with Nike iD for a London-exclusive expression of style.
1948 is more than a number. It’s the year that the quest for sporting perfection last reached its climax in London before returning again in 2012. 1948 joins 7 other cities occupied with their own Nike Sportswear embassies: Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Berlin, Moscow, Amsterdam and Stockholm, all rocking their own interpretation of sport and style.
Get down to Arches 477-478, 32 Batemans Row, Shoreditch and meet the family. Eight Nike Classics re-re-re-invented for ’08. More eye candy than you can feast on in one sitting. And to keep you on the straight and narrow, our eight-strong team (it’s all about the eights) of Nike Sportswear Brand Assistants – all graduates of the Nike Sportswear university of life. They’ll help you turn up exclusive and rare Nike gear, some of it only available in London – and if you’re still not satisfied, to add your personal touch with the instore Nike iD stations.
We hope you’ll like the real-estate too. We kept it simple with a combined store/studio/gallery/experimental space surveyed by epic 20ft likenesses of Nike’s greatest sporting legends.
