Dunk X Paule Marrot Editions released (Pink)
French designers Paule Marrot Editions have defined premium style through their high-class fabric and leather pieces since 1920. Their portfolio includes landmark work for the British Royal Family and style icon Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
So when word got out they were working with Nike Sportswear to remix another icon of style – the Nike Dunk - heads turned.
First, Nike retooled the shoe for the female foot, giving it a new skinny feel while maintaining the shape of the original, respecting its basketball heritage.
Then, the touch of true class. The uppers feature elements from two Paule Marrot designs. The butterflies and feathers draw inspiration from the French masters’ Aurore. While the cherry-decorated Dunks are a nod to their Bigareaux design.
These masterpieces are extremely limited editions, but you can pick up a pair from the '1948' store in Shoreditch, London.
