Born in Wakayama, Japan. Two-time Japan Junior champion, when he was in 9th grade (Nachi Junior High) and sophomore in high school (Tokyo Gakkan Urayasu High). During his years at Japan University, Haraguchi conquered titles such as Japan Amateur Match Play. In his fourth year after turning professional, obtained first tour card in 2000. The same year, 165cm Haraguchi finishes 8th in driving distance. Cervical Disc Hernia put Haraguchi’s golf career on the line, but through numerous treatment, surgery and intense rehab, gradually recovers. A body that was once over 100kg, gets back in shape to win the tour card again in 2006. Ever since, Haraguchi has kept his tour card for 5 consecutive years. In 2010, ranks 25th on the money king list – the highest in his career.
