As an amateur, Scottish golfer Marc Warren holed the winning putt at the 2001 Walker Cup. He then teamed up with legendary Scottish coach Bob Torrance, which propelled him to the top position on the Challenge Tour in 2005. In his rookie season on the European Tour, he went on to win his maiden title at the Scandinavian Masters. In 2007, he thrilled the Scottish galleries; winning a playoff to capture the Johnnie Walker Championship, followed by a huge upset at the Omega Mission Hills World Cup, where he beat the US in a playoff to give Scotland its first victory at that event.
