English golfer Simon Dyson turned professional in 1999 after being (a?) runner-up in the English Amateur and winning the Finnish Amateur title. In 2000, Dyson dominated the Asian Tour with three wins, and was Rookie of the Year. Since 2001 he’s played mostly on the European Tour, capturing his first victory at the 2006 Enjoy Jakarta Indonesia Open, followed by another win at the KLM Open the same year. In 2009, he won a second KLM Open, and captured victory at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St. Andrews, rising to the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings. Encouraged to take up golf by his brother Nick, he was a scratch golfer by the age of 16.
