Deron Williams

Bio

Some people play point guard. They pass the ball, lead the break and try to get everyone involved. But make no mistake: Just because they do the things a point guard does doesn't exactly make them a point guard. That being said, Deron Williams is a point guard. As soon as he steps on an NBA court or in the playground, he's in control. He knows when to shoot and when to pass and when to just get out of the way. How do you tell the difference? Well, it's simple. Point guards make their teammates happy. And everyone in the league wants to play with Deron Williams. Everyone. Go ahead. Ask. And that makes Deron happy.

So after a season-opening sprained ankle kept him out for a month, he's gradually caught up. And as we've turned the clock to 2009, he's turned the corner. He's been the one dishing out double-digit assists, scoring with ease and leading the Jazz to victory after victory. Or simply, the one every other one is chasing.
