Ross joined the European Tour in 2006 and in just his second season won the 2007 KLM Open by a stroke. In 2008, however, he left nothing to chance as he won the European Open by seven strokes, including an incredible first-round 63 on a course he'd never played before - in either competition or practise. Ross' strong play continued as he won the Volvo World Match Play Championship in 2009, finished fifth at the 2009 U.S. Open and won the 3 Irish Open in 2010 by shooting 18 under par. Ross also played for the Ryder Cup-winning European team in 2010. In 2011 and 2012, Ross picked up an impressive 10 top-10 finishes on the European Tour, including second place finishes at the Portugal Masters and the Nordea Masters.
