Masamichi Ito

Birthplace: Fujisawa City, Kanagawa
Birth Date: 1995
Home: Fujisawa City, Kanagawa
Turned Pro: 2012

Masamichi, the son of a professional golfer, grew up with the game—incredibly playing golf since the age of one. With this lifelong connection to golf, Masamichi has had a stellar amateur career. He won back-to-back Kanto Junior Championships in 2008 and 2009, won the 2009 Kanto Amateur and the 2009 National Public Championship. Then, at the VanaH Cup KBC Augusta, a JGTO event, Masamichi set the record as the youngest ever to pass the cut on Tour, at only 14 years and 21 days old. In 2010, he won the National Junior High School Championship and the Japan Junior. A five-time best amateur on the JGTO, Masamichi looks to continue his success as a professional, having turned pro in December 2012.
