Victor Williams Southeastern High School - Detroit

Victor Williams is an engineer who came out of retirement to teach electronics and robotics to inner-city students. His Jordan Fundamentals automated factory project imparts not only invaluable theoretical and practical knowledge, but develops teamwork, self-worth, and a work ethic in kids from challenged backgrounds. As a testament to Mr. Williams' passion and dedication, students who once entered his class with no concept of what an engineer does, have now been accepted into four-year college engineering programs.

TIMOTHY ANDERSON May Community Academy - Chicago

Timothy Anderson is a physical education teacher in a district with the highest ex-convict population in Illinois. His Jordan Fundamentals character education project utilizes team building exercises and experiential education outings to build social and conflict resolution skills in students who are used to solving problems through violence. The results of his work have been profound, with kids learning to talk with, trust and support each other, and numerous past-participants even returning to help younger students.

Kim Bly Washington Preparatory High School - LOS ANGELES

Kim Bly is a physical education teacher and athletic coordinator in a school situated in a district populated by 17 gangs. Her Jordan Fundamentals healthy lifestyle program provides extra-curricular fitness classes, while educating both students and their parents as to the overall importance of physical activity. Given the prevalence of obesity in the area and dire need for positive recreational outlets, Ms. Bly's program makes a deep impact with both individuals and the community.
