Jerryd Bayless
 |
Height: 6-3 · Weight: 193 · Position: Wing Guard
· St. Mary High School
· Phoenix, AZ · Hometown: Phoenix, Arizona · College:
Arizona
Jerryd Bayless emerged as an elite level prospect
at 14 years old as he was nicknamed "The Chosen
One." At 15 years old, he was already being talked
about as perhaps the best basketball player ever
from the state of Arizona. At 16 years old, he
had just about every school in the country vying
for his commitment. Bayless is a premier athlete
and talent that can score from the perimeter as
well as any player in the class of 2007. He is
always able to create a shot with his high elevating
pull up jumper and is particularly dangerous coming
off the high ball screen where he is a threat
to score off the dribble from 23-feet and in.
Bayless repeatedly breaks his man down and finds
weaknesses in the defense that allows him to distribute
the ball where it needs to be. Bayless won the
Arizona Republic's Big School Player of the Year
honors after averaging 37.8 points per game last
season. He will attend the University of Arizona
in the fall and follow in the footsteps of other
Arizona born greats Mike Bibby and Richard Jefferson.

Nick Calathes
|
Height: 6-5 · Weight: 195 · Position: Wing Guard
· Lake Howell High School
· Winter Park, FL · Hometown: Winter Park, FL
· College: Florida
He's the perfect thinking man's guard in that
he has great feel, plays unselfishly and doesn't
have to dominate the ball to make others better.
He runs a team like an NBA veteran. He is an exceptional
passer, always putting the ball in the right place
for easy baskets, and often sending passes to
where his teammates should be on the floor, in
a sense coaching them with each pass. Calathes
has a great shooting stroke and can hit consistently
from three. He is very shifty and can get into
the paint when he needs to. He plays a very composed
game and visibly pushes himself more when he makes
mistakes. He was named Mr. Basketball of Florida
as a junior as he averaged 26.9 points, 6.7 rebounds,
4.3 assists and 3.2 steals for a 26-5 final four
team. He is also the Orlando Sentinel’s Player
of the Year for the past two seasons. This past
season Calathes led Lake Howell to the state championship.
He will join fellow Jordan All-American Chandler
Parsons at the University of Florida next season.

Corey Fisher
|
Height: 6-0 · Weight: 175 · Position: Point Guard
· St. Patrick’s High School
· Elizabeth, NJ · Hometown: Bronx, NY · College:
Villanova
Corey Fisher has been a staple in the New York
City area for the past few years. His talent level
is well known and it's why Villanova offered him
a scholarship. Fisher is a solid built bullet
of a point guard. He combines excellent quickness
off the dribble with the ability to get into the
lane and finish in traffic. He’s an outstanding
leaper who can play above the rim but his real
strength on offense is his ability to make perimeter
shots. He has led St. Patrick’s to the USA Today
No. 2 national ranking with a 30-2 record. Fisher
led St. Patrick’s to the Non-Public B state title
and Tournament of Champions title.

Austin Freeman
|
Height: 6-4 · Weight: 185 · Position: Wing Guard
· DeMatha Catholic High School
· Hyattsville, MD · Hometown: Washington, D.C
· College: Georgetown
Nicknamed “A Free” Austin Freeman has deceptive
explosiveness, a pure shooting stroke and point
guard handles. He is a strong wing player that
is capable of doing a lot of things on the court.
Freeman can score in bunches, has tons of composure
and his body gets him places inside. He has outstanding
talent and is a big time producer, even with his
left hand. He also has a patented hop back three-pointer
that is unstoppable. As good as Freeman is offensively,
he distributes the ball just as well. He has excellent
body control and enjoys shooting the mid-range
pull up jumper. Freeman led DeMatha to a 28-6
record this season, a No. 1 ranking in the Washington
Post and a WCAC title. He will attend Georgetown
University in the fall with fellow Jordan All-American
Chris Wright.
|
Donte Greene
|
Height: 6-9 · Weight: 217 · Position: Power Forward
· Towson Catholic High School
· Towson, MD · Hometown: Baltimore, MD · College:
Syracuse
The versatile 6-foot-10 baller not only plays
like Carmelo Anthony, but his past, present and
future all read like pages right out of Carmelo's
playbook. Greene is an especially long and talented
wing who can score in bunches. He hits long three
pointers casually and seems to have the confidence
of a legend. Greene has the offensive ability
to take over games and calls for the ball on the
court when he’s feeling it. He can defend the
power forward position, can block shots and is
an excellent rebounder with the ability to dominate
the glass. Greene plays very relaxed, and loves
to make big plays on both offense and defense.
He was a man among boys at the 2006 Nike All-America
Camp where he made everyone else on the court
look completely out of place. As a junior he was
named to the Baltimore Sun All-Metro First Team
as he averaged 23 points, 12 rebounds and four
blocked shots per game. This year he led Towson
Catholic to a 26-4 record and a No. 1 ranking
in the Baltimore Metropolitan area. He finished
his career with over 2,200 points. Greene is headed
to Syracuse University in the fall.

Blake Griffin
|
Height: 6-9 · Weight: 230 · Position: Center
· Oklahoma Christian School
· Edmond, OK · Hometown: Oklahoma City, OK · College:
Oklahoma
Blake Griffin is arguably the most physical player
in the class of 2007. He is an outstanding athlete
and a monster on the boards and around the rim.
Griffin has grown into his aggressiveness over
the years as his team has relied on him more and
more. He has an almost mindless killer instinct
and intensity level, giving 110% every time he
steps foot on the court. He has a soft touch in
the paint and a surprisingly high comfort level
with the ball on the perimeter for such a physical
player. He has the ability to run the point at
the end of games when his team is being pressured.
As a junior, Griffin averaged 21 points, 14 rebounds
and five assists per game. This year he led his
Oklahoma Christian team to their fourth consecutive
state championship. A coach's son, Griffin definitely
has the mental game and winning attitude it takes
to become a great player. He will follow in the
footsteps of his older brother when he attends
the University of Oklahoma next season.
|
Eric Gordon
|
Height: 6-4 · Weight: 204 · Position: Wing Guard
· North Central High School
· Indianapolis, IN · Hometown: Indianapolis, IN
· College: Indiana
Powerfully built but also highly skilled, Gordon
is a true combo guard with a refined all around
game. He can shoot from deep either off the catch
or the dribble, attack the basket from any direction
and can score in the mid-range. He also has a
dangerous post up game and can distribute the
ball as well as he scores. Defensively he has
the quickness and strength to guard any perimeter
player and always shows excellent desire and intensity.
Along with O.J. Mayo, he is as complete a guard
prospect as there is on the class of 2007. He
is ranked among the top five high school basketball
players in the nation and has been called “the
most complete offensive high school arsenal since
Kobe Bryant”. In a game earlier this year on ESPN2,
Gordon showed the country what they can expect
when he attends Indiana next year as he poured
in 43 points.
|
Gary Johnson
|
Height: 6-7 · Weight: 220 · Position: Power Forward
· Aldine High School
· Houston, TX · Hometown: Houston, TX · College:
Texas
Gary Johnson is a power player who does almost
all his damage at the basket as he attacks the
rim and draws a large number of fouls. Johnson
plays with a big time motor and is relentless
on the glass. He opens up so many outside shots
for his teammates because he draws double and
triple teams down low. Johnson has great bounce
off the floor and runs the court extremely well.
One of his best attributes is his ability to get
the ball off the rim. Johnson came onto the high
school scene as a member of the Houston Hoops
travel team. He quickly built a name for himself
around Houston and on a national level. Johnson
helped lead Aldine to a 32-2 record this season
while earning First Team All-State honors. In
the Academy Invitational earlier this year he
recorded 20 points and 20 rebounds in one game.
Johnson will join a talented young squad at the
University of Texas next fall.

DeAndre Jordan
|
Height: 6-11 · Weight: 225 · Position: Center
· Christian Life Center Academy
· Humble, TX · Hometown: Houston, TX · College:
Texas A&M
One of the top big men in the class of 2007,
DeAndre Jordan has all the tools to be a dominant
force at the next level. Jordan is a traditional
big man when it comes to playing style. He has
great athleticism and loves to run the floor.
Jordan’s offensive repertoire is potent from inside
the paint. On the defensive side of the ball Jordan
is spectacular. He has the ability to alter so
many shots in the lane and his rebounding is solid
as well. As a junior last year he averaged 16
points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks per game
for Episcopal High School in Bellaire, TX. This
season he has helped lead Christian Life Center
to a 40-8 record. Jordan will join Coach Billy
Gillespie and the Texas A&M Aggies next season
in College Station next season.

Jeffrey Jordan
|
Height: 6-0 · Weight: 165 · Position: Point Guard
· Loyola Academy
· Wilmette, IL · Hometown: Wilmette, IL · College:
Undecided
Known more up until this point as being the son
of possibly the greatest player in NBA history,
Jeffrey Jordan has developed his own distinction
in the hoops world. A physically strong combo
guard, Jordan has a very quick first step going
right although he is left handed. He finishes
well with either hand but prides himself on distributing
the ball. Jordan is a pass first shoot second
guard that is known for getting his teammates
involved and making good decisions on the court.
He is noted as being a fundamentally sound player,
with an all-around game and solid mid-range jump
shot. He also finishes well in traffic and is
said to have inherited his father's vertical leap.
Jordan has not officially announced where he will
be attending next fall but has interest from numerous
Division I schools.
|
Kosta Koufos
|
Height: 7-0 · Weight: 252 · Position: Center
· Glen Oak High School
· Canton, OH · Hometown: Canton, OH · College:
Ohio State
With a NBA center's body, Kosta Koufos has outstanding
skills with and without the ball. He can shoot
it from behind the arc, pass it out of the double
team or feed from the high post and catch the
difficult passes. He is also comfortable putting
the ball on the floor and he can take the ball
off the dribble very effectively against big men.
He is an outstanding free throw shooter and has
a nice mid-range jumper. For a big man he has
great hands and a soft touch around the basket.
Koufos is a tough kid who will take on any and
all competitors. He was rated as the top big man
at the 2005 Hoop Jamboree and is easily the top
seven-footer in high school basketball. He was
measured with a 9’0” standing reach and a 7’4”
wingspan. Next season Koufos will take his 4.0
GPA and join the Ohio State University Buckeyes.

Jai Lucas
|
Height: 5-10 · Weight: 160 · Position: Point
Guard · Bellaire High School
· Houston, TX · Hometown: Bellaire, TX · College:
Undecided
Jai Lucas brings to the court a feel for the
game well beyond his years. A good shooter from
beyond the arc, Lucas specializes in scoring with
floaters and runners in the mid-range. Adept at
pushing the tempo and playing fast with the ball
he comes from a rich family history of point guards;
father was an NBA All-Star and a Maryland Terp,
brother was an All-American at Oklahoma State
and is in second season with the Houston Rockets.
As a junior Lucas averaged 23 points and six assists
per game. His college destination is yet to be
announced but he has scholarship offers from Maryland,
Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Kentucky.
|
Kalin Lucas
|
Height: 6-0 · Weight: 165 · Position: Point Guard
· St. Mary’s Prep
· Orchard Lake, MI · Hometown: Orchard Lake, MI
· College: Michigan State
One of the top point guard prospects in the class
of 2007, Kalin Lucas will be heading to Michigan
State next season to follow in the footsteps of
other great guards in Mateen Cleaves and Eric
Snow. Lucas has a very high basketball IQ and
will fit in quite well on the next level. He is
a team player and will do whatever his team needs
to win. He has the ability to create his own shot
when needed and loves to run the show. He is best
when in transition and he gave dish it off to
his teammates. This past season he led St. Mary’s
Prep to a 22-3 record as they won a Catholic League
title and District title before falling in the
Regional final. Lucas was named to the Class A
All-State First Team along with Michigan native
and future teammate Durrell Summers.

O.J. Mayo*
|
* *selected
to play, but unable to participate
Height: 6-5 · Weight: 215 · Position: Point Guard
· Huntington High School
· Huntington, WV · Hometown: Huntington, WV ·
College: USC
A combo guard with the total package, Mayo has
a physical and imposing presence on the court
that resembles Chauncey Billups. Adept at creating
space for his jumper and hitting difficult floaters
in the mid-range, Mayo is very difficult to defend.
He is capable of guarding multiple positions and
is able to ignite the fast break with his impressive
defensive rebounding. Versatility is the key to
his game and on offense he has a smooth jumper
that he hits well from outside the arc but he
is also capable of putting the ball on floor and
hitting from the mid-range. In 2006, Mayo was
selected as Mr. Basketball in Ohio for the second
consecutive season, in addition to being named
Associated Press Division III Player of the Year
for the second consecutive season. As a junior
he averaged nearly 38 points, eight rebounds and
eight assists per game. He led his team to consecutive
Ohio State Championships before transferring to
Huntington High School for his senior season.
This past season Mayo and teammate Patrick Patterson
led Huntington to their third consecutive state
championship.
|
Chandler Parsons
|
Height: 6-8 · Weight: 190 · Position: Wing Forward
· Lake Howell High School
· Winter Park, FL · Hometown: Winter Park, FL
· College: Florida
After a red hot summer on the AAU circuit and
a brilliant showing at the Nike All-America Camp
Chandler Parsons was one of the nation's hottest
prospects coming into this season. Parsons has
the ability to score big both inside and outside.
He can put the ball on the floor to take it to
the rack or create space for his jump shot off
the dribble. He also showed that he is an above-average
defender and a solid rebounder. A sharp shooter
with length, Parsons can also handle the rock
against pressure and he passes efficiently well.
He helped lead Lake Howell to four consecutive
state final four appearances and a state championship
this past season. Parsons joins fellow Lake Howell
teammate Nick Calathes as a Jordan All-American
and both will attend the University of Florida
next year.

Patrick Patterson
|
Height: 6-8 · Weight: 228 · Position: Power Forward
· Huntington High School
· Huntington, WV · Hometown: Huntington, WV ·
College: Undecided
A top-notch athlete with endless energy, Patrick
Patterson competes from baseline to baseline and
leaves everything on the court. Offensively, he
is best when shooting the mid-range jumper but
he can also score out of the low post on a consistent
basis. Patterson’s pogo stick leaping ability
and 7’1 wingspan make him a force when it comes
to rebounding on both the offensive and defensive
end of the ball. Defensively, he can guard almost
any position as he moves his feet well laterally.
His leaping ability also helps account for numerous
blocked shots a game. Patterson is a very strong,
well built power forward ready for the college
level. One of his strengths include passing out
of the post and especially out of double teams.
He was the West Virginia State Player of the Year
as a junior and this past season teamed with fellow
Jordan All-American O.J. Mayo to lead Huntington
to their third consecutive state title and a 25-2
record. Patterson is undecided on his college
choice for next season.

Jeff Robinson
|
Height: 6-5 · Weight: 205 · Position: Small Forward
· St. Patrick’s High School
· Elizabeth, NJ · Hometown: Columbus, NJ · College:
Memphis
Jeff Robinson is one of the most athletic forwards
in the class of 2007. His athletic ability and
potential are off the charts. He runs the floor
exceptionally well and loves to finish with a
big-time dunk that normally brings the crowd to
their feet. Playing alongside fellow Jordan All-American
Corey Fisher at St. Patrick’s High School this
season Robinson had numerous opportunities to
showcase that athleticism. Robinson can also stroke
the three-point shot with consistency and is a
solid rebounder and defender. Robinson helped
lead St. Patrick’s to a 30-2 record this season
as they won there second consecutive Tournament
of Champions title. Next season Robinson will
join the University of Memphis Tigers and Coach
John Calipari.
|
Derrick Rose
|
Height: 6-3 · Weight: 194 · Position: Point Guard
· Simeon High School
· Chicago, IL · Hometown: Chicago, IL · College:
Memphis
"Pooh" as he is called is a true floor general
who shows a solid understanding of the game. Rose's
speed is what gives him an edge on most players.
He is a strong kid with an unselfish attitude
who works hard on his game. Rose's ability to
create scoring opportunities, his willingness
to share the ball and his capability of taking
over a game with his scoring during crunch time
makes it clear that the top priority for Rose
is winning. Skill wise, he has lightning speed
and power with the ball, he gets into the lane
with ease and he is a solid rebounder. Rose plays
with a high level of intensity but remains level-headed.
He staked his case for National Player of the
Year honors finishing with 28 points, nine assists
and eight rebounds in a shocking upset of defending
national champion and USA Today No. 1 Oak Hill
Academy (Va.) in January of this year. Rose will
take his winning attitude to the University of
Memphis next season.

Kyle Singler
|
Height: 6-8 · Weight: 210 · Position: Wing Forward
· South Medford High School
· Medford, OR · Hometown: Medford, OR · College:
Duke
Perhaps the most complete player in the class
of 2007 as a true three position player, Singler
shoots the three with a feathery touch and can
also score on the block and off the dribble. Singler
passes and rebounds at a high level along with
his solid defensive skills that allow him to defend
a guard as well as a post player. Already a legitimate
small forward, Singler can make all the plays.
He is active around the basket, can lead the fast
break and can even run the point guard position
in a pinch. With a great feel for the game, he
only needs to gain strength and continue his natural
progression to maintain his status as an elite
prospect. This season he led South Medford to
a 27-3 record on their way to the state championshp.
Singler will attend Duke University in the fall.
|
Durrell Summers
|

· Covenant High School
· Redford, MI · Hometown: Dearboro, MI · College:
Michigan St.
A shifty athlete with great explosiveness Summers
is a threat to score in a number of ways. He shoots
with range, pulls up well off the dribble and
can dunk with authority in traffic. Summers has
incredible leaping ability as he can hang in the
air and take contact very well. He is capable
of highlight reel dunks and can also hit the three-point
shot consistently. With his body still developing,
Summers will only get stronger on the defensive
end of the ball. With a 6’9” wingspan, his thin
body is helped considerably on defense at this
level of play by his length. Next season Summers
will attend Michigan State.
|

· St. John’s College Prep

Georgetown
Chris Wright has the entire package; perimeter
stroke, toughness, versatility, academics, and
compactly built. Wright plays low to the ground
with the ball with his greatest strength being
is ability to score. He uses his quickness and
strength on the defensive side of the ball to
amount numerous steals. Wright is a strong defender
who is able to keep his man out of the lane and
can apply a nasty full-court press. Wright is
an excellent teammate who goes about his business
and loves to play the game. His range is deep
and he's confident with both his outside and mid-range
jumper. For all his physical attributes, what
really gives Wright his edge is his mental toughness.
This season he has led St. John’s to a 26-8 record
and a No. 4 ranking in the Washington DC Metropolitan
area.
|
Chris Wright
|
Height: 6-7 · Weight: 202 · Position: Wing Forward
· Trotwood-Madison High School
· Trotwood, OH · Hometown: Trotwood, OH · College:
Dayton
One of the most athletic players in the class
of 2007 with the nickname Flyght, Chris Wright
is dangerous in more ways than one. He plays above
the rim and loves to get out and run. Wright is
also just as comfortable handling the ball on
the perimeter and pulling up for 14-footers as
he is with banging on the inside while looking
for put-back flushes. Wright won a state championship
as a junior as he was named Mr. Basketball in
the state of Ohio as he averaged 17.5 points and
11.2 rebounds per contest. One of the hardest
working players in the country, Wright will stay
