NEW YORK, NY (April 21, 2007) – Corey Fisher
(Elizabeth, NJ/Villanova) tallied 10 assists to set a
new record for the Jordan Brand All-American Classic,
presented by Foot Locker and Boost Mobile, as he led his
Yellow Jerseys to the 127-119 victory at Madison Square Garden.
Donte Greene (Towson, MD/Syracuse), who also won
the dunk contest earlier in the week, led the Royal
Jerseys with 20 points to share the MVP award with
Fisher. This year's event was the first high
school all-star game to be televised in High Definition,
with a live national broadcast on ESPN2. The Jordan Brand All-American Classic also included a regional game, showcasing the top prep players from the New York City metropolitan area in a City vs. Suburbs showdown.
Michael Glover (Seton Hall) and Nathaniel Lester (Hofstra)
were named co-MVPs of the Regional Game as the City team
prevailed. For the third straight year, a portion of the proceeds
benefited the New York City-based charity, The Children's Aid Society.
