Created to battle the summer heat in Brazil and worldwide, this collection combines designer Jun Takahashi’s functional avant-garde aesthetic with the latest Nike innovations.

The Nike X Undercover GYAKUSOU S/S13 collection focuses on lightweight fabrics, continuing the partnership’s mission to create apparel and footwear for the “soulful runner”.

“A battle against heat”

Jun Takahashi’s, founder and head designer of Japan’s coveted clothing label Undercover, original desire was to create ideal running products for the marathon in Honolulu - in Jun's own words, "running in the summer is a battle against heat". Designed specifically to address the cooling requirements of summer runners in Brazil and worldwide, it employs unlined, breathable, and supremely lightweight materials, providing avid athletes with the ability to pursue their passion despite sweltering conditions. This season's focus on breathable and lightweight materials combine high performance design aesthetic and functionalities with an unparalleled attention to details.

Subtle colors and vivid shades

The collection’s trademark color palette speaks to Takahashi’s urban-rural accord with subtle city tones and natural hues, which are popped this season by bright Mesa orange, lush Victory green, and fuchsia Sangria pink, reflecting the renowned vibrancy of Rio landscapes.
