HOW TO ENTER/DESIGN AND SUBMISSION SPECIFICATIONS
There are a few simple steps you have to follow to enter:
Step 1 - Review Official Rules/Register Online
Completed Registration Form and Submission Agreement must be postmarked by
March 1, 2008.
NIKE cannot consider an entry unless both the Registration Form and Submission Agreement have been signed and submitted to NIKE.
NIKE and/or its authorized agents retain the right to verify the accuracy of information supplied by all Entrants who have entered the Contest.
Step 2 - Receive E-mail Confirmation and Access to the Design Entry Packet
- If you’re eligible and NIKE receives the completed Registration Form and Submission Agreement, postmarked no later than March 1, 2008, we’ll send you an e-mail link and password to the Design Entry Site.
Step 3 - Submit Your Designs
- Submit your Design Entry Packet with up to three original shoe designs through www.futuresole.com.
- Make sure you tell us your design story by including an explanation of your design and a description of your inspiration for the design.
- Your designs need to follow these Contest guidelines:
- Complete the entire Design Entry Packet and submit it to NIKE according to the instructions in the Packet. NIKE must receive your Design Entry Packet by April 1, 2008, 11:59 pm (PT). Entries must be submitted online. All entries will become the property of NIKE and can’t be returned
- Your designs must be original. That means you, and only you, must be the creator of the design and you can’t use any photos, drawings, images or elements created by anyone else (like logos, trademarks, or photographs or images of another person, team, etc.). It also means you can’t submit designs that are based on or are alterations of something someone else has done. You may, however, use logos and trademarks that belong to NIKE, but such right is limited to the Contest.
- Your designs can’t be offensive. They also can’t defame someone or violate someone’s right to privacy or personal rights (whether that someone is alive or not).
- Designs may not be submitted to other competitions or for publication.
- Your Design Entry Packet is subject to disqualification if it does not comply with these guidelines. NIKE, in its sole discretion,
will determine whether Packets meet these guidelines.
- It's important you understand that by submitting a Design Entry Packet you are making a representation and a warranty to NIKE that:
- You're the only creator and only owner of the designs you submit and that you own all right, title and interest in the design.
- Except as provided above, your designs are original work, which means your designs aren't copied from someone else's work and it contains nothing that infringes on any existing copyright, trademark, or right of privacy.
- It's also important you understand that by submitting a Design Entry Packet you're agreeing that:
- All of your design entries and materials will be the property of NIKE, and may be displayed, used or altered by
NIKE (or anyone we authorize) for any purpose without any kind of payment to you or your parents or guardians.
This means you irrevocably and forever grant and assign to NIKE all worldwide right, title, and interest in and to your
design entries and materials (and all works derived from them) as well as all intellectual property you create by
participating in the Contest. This also means you waive all rights of attribution and integrity if your design entries and materials are used by NIKE or anyone we authorize.
- NIKE may contact you regarding the Contest and can use your name, picture or likeness for any purpose in connection with the Contest
without any kind of payment to you.
- You release and hold harmless NIKE, its affiliates, prize suppliers, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees,
agents, and representatives from any injury, loss, or damage to person (including death) or property due in-whole or in-part, directly
or indirectly, to any Contest prize, or the participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity, including travel.
