21M - Air Force 1 Bespoke Designed by Matthew Lauretti

Artist Matthew Lauretti is living proof that cultural exposures enable even the most fly and gifted to tap into a new realm of creativity. The young Italian-American is a connoisseur for odd combinations with shapes, colors, and optical effects, so when he dropped by the 21 Mercer location to design the latest Bespoke shoe  we knew we were in for a surprise.

Lauretti turned the Air Force 1 Bespoke into a canvas for his latest masterpiece, using his recent transition from Italy to New York as his inspiration. He splashes blue coast nubuck on the toe panel and heel to highlight the traveler lizard leather. Hints of orange pop up in the stitching and “Air” logo, and the brown suede toe box and gold mid panel add extra flare to the already flamboyant shoe. Needless to say, Lauretti's knack for style definitely fits into the New York state of mind.
