Nike Black History Month
"Uplift" Collection

In celebration of Black History Month, Nike introduces the “Uplift” collection honoring the accomplishments and spirit of three legendary squads: the 1996 USA Basketball Women’s team, the 2002 Brazil Men’s Soccer team, and the 2008 Kenyan Long-Distance running team. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant colors of Kenyan beads and Brazilian Carnivale, designers created a signature Black History Month print that can be found stamped on each of the collection’s pieces. Nike is also debuting the “Uplift” pattern, a combination of cultural elements from the United States, Brazil and Kenya that can be spotted on exclusive versions of the Destroyer Jacket, the Women’s Blazer High, and Air Force 1 that will be available in February. Keeping our tradition of honoring this month by supporting organizations that help young people achieve greatness, Nike will make a financial contribution to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

The Nike Black History Month 2012 "Uplift" Collection hits stores February 11.
