Apropos of his name, Charlie Dark does most of his business under cover of night. He’s a familiar face to doormen across London, as founder of the legendary Blacktronica Club sessions, but when he started his after hours running sessions, it was a different story. “I’d be running late at night and the bouncers would see me dressed in my lycra, and they would laugh,” he says.
But every quick circuit past the club silenced hecklers and ultimately gained dark ardent supporters. He now rolls the Run Dem Crew 50-deep through the streets, converting night-time naysayers with every step.
