NYC Bridgerunners

Mike Saes, founder of the NYC Bridgerunners Club, breaks just about every rule of long-distance running. He eats what he wants, drinks what he wants, and before a marathon follows a strict regimen that would horrify the die-hards. "I'll be out partying until 4am in the morning," says Saes. "I'm out dancing, getting my last stretch on. That's how I do." This unconventional approach to training appeals to Saes' acolytes, newbies and drop-outs alike looking for a good reason to run wild. The Bridgerunners may not look or act like champions, but they sure do run like them.
